Plasma Pen Skin Tightening
At Skin Konfidence Aesthetics and Wellness, our Plasma Pen treatment lifts and firms the areas that creams and facials cannot reach, and it keeps working for months after you leave our office.
If sagging eyelids, neck crepiness, or fine lines have you considering a surgical lift, this is the non-surgical path worth exploring first.
What Is Plasma Pen?
Here is how it works in plain terms. The device creates a small plasma arc just above the surface of your skin. It never physically touches you. That controlled thermal energy forms microscopic treatment points that contract the skin right away while triggering ongoing collagen remodeling underneath.
Many of our patients choose Plasma Pen as a non-surgical alternative for skin laxity, wrinkles, crepey skin, and the texture changes that come with age.

How Does Plasma Pen Work?

The payoff is firmer, smoother, tighter skin that keeps improving as collagen remodels over the following weeks and months. You do not get one result on treatment day. You get a result that builds.

Your Pre-Treatment Process
During your consultation, we:
- Review your medical history
- Assess your skin type
- Talk through your goals
- Walk you through the risks and benefits
- Take photographs when needed
This step protects you and sets us both up for the best possible outcome.
The Numbing Process
Numbing time usually runs 30 to 60 mins.
This makes the procedure far more comfortable. Most patients handle treatment well, though some areas may still feel warm, prickly, or mildly uncomfortable along the way.
What Does the Treatment Feel Like?
- Tiny snapping sensations
- Mild heat
- Warm prickling
- Brief discomfort in sensitive spots
With topical numbing in place, the vast majority of our patients tolerate the treatment comfortably.
Frequently Asked Questions.
WHAT IS THE HEALING TIMELINE AFTER PLASMA PEN TREATMENT?
Plasma Pen healing occurs in stages. Immediately after treatment, you may experience redness, swelling, warmth, tightness, mild discomfort, and visible carbon crusts, which are a normal part of the healing process.
- During the first 24 hours, your skin may feel similar to a moderate sunburn, and it's important to follow your aftercare instructions.
- Between days 2 and 5, swelling may peak while the carbon crusts continue protecting the treated area.
- From days 5 to 10, the crusts naturally shed, revealing pink, healing skin with early tightening.
- Between weeks 2 and 6, collagen remodeling continues beneath the surface, improving skin texture, firmness, and contour.
- By weeks 6 to 12, significant collagen and elastin production leads to smoother, tighter, and healthier-looking skin.
HOW LONG DO PLASMA PEN RESULTS LAST?
Many patients enjoy long-lasting improvements that continue developing for several months after treatment as collagen and elastin remodeling progresses. Your individual results depend on factors such as age, skin condition, lifestyle, sun exposure, smoking history, genetics, and how well you follow your aftercare instructions. Proper skincare and sun protection can help maintain your results and support long-term skin health.
WHY IS AFTERCARE SO IMPORTANT AFTER PLASMA PEN TREATMENT?
Aftercare is one of the most important factors in achieving the best possible Plasma Pen results. Your final outcome depends heavily on proper healing and following your post-treatment instructions.
This includes avoiding sun exposure, using the recommended skincare products, leaving the carbon crusts undisturbed, preventing infection, staying well hydrated, and carefully following your provider's instructions.
Patients who follow their aftercare plan consistently typically achieve the best healing and long-lasting results.
HOW LONG DO PLASMA PEN RESULTS LAST?
Because it tightens by rebuilding real collagen, results can hold for a few years with good skincare and sun protection. Natural aging keeps going, so some clients refresh down the road.
IS THIS LIKE A NON-SURGICAL EYELID LIFT?
For mild hooding, plasma tightening can lift and smooth the lids with no cutting or stitches. It suits early sagging, while heavy, advanced drooping still needs a surgeon.
WILL THE LITTLE CRUSTS LEAVE SCARS?
When you leave them alone and follow aftercare, the carbon crusts flake off on their own and heal cleanly. Picking them is the main scarring risk, so we stress hands-off healing.
WHEN CAN I WEAR MAKEUP AGAIN?
You will need to wait until the crusts fully shed, usually about a week, before covering the area. Makeup applied too early can trap bacteria in the healing dots.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
Many clients see strong change from a single session, and some areas do better with a second once fully healed. We decide together based on how your skin responds.
Important Disclosure
Results are not immediate.
Your outcome develops through the healing process and the collagen remodeling that happens over the following weeks and months. That is why your compliance with every post-treatment instruction is critical to your final result.
We perform the treatment. You play a major role in the outcome through proper healing and aftercare. Together, we get you there.
